tajik flagKhumdin Sharipov, the Interior Minister of Tajikistan announced yesterday that 18 officials from his visas and registration departments were under suspicion of various crimes including human trafficking and forced prostitution. The minister said that 58 cases of forced prostitution by organised groups had been recorded so far this year.\r\n"A special commission has been created to repatriate our compatriots who were trafficked out of the country through deception. It is headed by the deputy foreign minister of Tajikistan," Sharipov said. "As a result, 26 people have been returned to Tajikistan from the United Arab Emirates, including three Uzbek citizens."\r\n15 cases of child trafficking have also been registered in Tajikistan, "Women have children, but then some of them get rid of their unwanted children by selling them abroad," the minister said.\r\n
